You’ve heard of crowd funding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo which feature products looking for funding. Now there is a site called CrowdSearching.com, which uses the power of Facebook and Twitter to help lost and found items find their way back home to their owners.

Whether you’ve lost an item or found someone else’s, simply post it on the CrowdSearching site and
watch the word spread. Each post is pinned to an exact location on a map, making it easy to navigate
the site. If you find your item all you have to do is click the claim button and CrowdSearching will put
you in contact with the Good Samaritan who found your belongings. You can even print your very
own customised lost and found poster to stick up in your neighbourhood, which will help increase the
chances of your item being found.

CrowdSearching.com is sponsored by hipKey, which is an $89.95 Bluetooth gadget that is designed to help prevent future losses of an iPod touch, iPhones or iPads.

  2. It is a pretty cool idea. We found some keys to what must be a newer VW (laser cut) and posted it on Craigslist…but got no response.

A site like this may have been more helpful.

  3. How to find lost things and finding can be a challenging task, but with a systematic approach, it’s possible to recover what’s gone astray. Remember to stay calm, retrace your steps, and thoroughly search the areas where you believe the item may be. Asking for help, utilizing technology, and expanding your search area can also increase your chances. Keep hope alive, and don’t forget to check lost and found departments or online platforms. Good luck in your quest to find lost things!
