It serves as a typing or viewing stand or as just a way to keep your phone from getting lost under papers on your desk. I wonder if it would also work with tablets, especially some of the smaller, 7″ tablets?

We have these throughout our office and everyone uses them so they must be popular. I took mine home (don’t tell).
My Blue Lounge Nest (http://www.amazon.com/Lounge-Design-NS-WH-Organizing-Tablets/dp/B004MSCMMU) is half the price and more versatile as it also lets me stand an iPad or Kindle vertically.
We tried the Blue Lounge last year but they slide all over the desk.
These look rather similar to the iPad stands in the Apple stores…
