As iPhone owners can verify, the iPhone has an external speaker that doesn’t produce the loudest sound.  Kubxlab has a new case that’s designed to double the sound output from the iPhone 5 without draining the phone’s battery or requiring any other power source.  The ampjacket for iPhone 5 is a bit thicker than most iPhone cases.  The back houses patent-pending audio channels that Kubxlab says “are precisely tuned to guide and amplify the output from the speaker, enhancing volume and clarity.”  The case is available in black, white, gray, red, green, pink, orange, or blue for $34.95.  You can pre-order now, with shipping starting on 1/21/13.  An ampjacket case for the iPod touch and one for the iPad mini are in the works, too.

It looks like they’re patenting cupping your hand behind your phone to make it louder.
