I’ve been looking for a small camera to throw into my backpack. The iTouch doesn’t have a decent camera for taking stills, but taking movies with it works very nicely. My other cameras are just too bulky taking up much space and are also heavy…
@Julie, which small camera under $100 would you advise purchasing?
@Bob I’d only be guessing because I’ve not tried any sub $100 cameras on the market. If I was going to pick from this list, I’d go with the Pentax. I’ve had several of their compact cameras in the past and always liked them.
@Julie I’ve been looking over the list provided by LogicBuy.com and checked them out on Amazon to get reviews.
On the LogicBuy it said that the Pentax Optio RS1500 only had a 4x Digital Zoom, which wouldn’t be acceptable, but at Amazon it said it had a 4x Optical Zoom and a 6.7 Digital Zoom, hmmm! I checked out Adorama and this 4x Optical was correct. I have dealt with Adorama before and have always been satisfied.
The Canon PowerShot A800 10MP is a nice camera, but takes 2xAA cells and I don’t want to deal with AAs.
You need a coupon at TigerDriect to get the Samsung ST90 14MP at that price, and I don’t do coupons at TigerDirect because of bad experiences in the past with them.
The Nikon Coolpix S3300 was just too expensive at $94 compared to the Pentax’s $49.99 price.
So after reading reviews and weighing this and that, the Pentax is what I’ll get
