With the way that everyone (including myself) gushes over the iPhone’s camera, you’d think it was a DSLR or something. Well now it can be… sorta/kinda. The TurtleJacket (unfortunate name…) is a 2 piece aluminum jacket/case that accommodates an iPhone 4S/4 and features 2 tripod mounts, 2 strap holes and a 37mm thread (female) for conversion lenses. For $126 you get the jacket, a UV Filter and 37mm Wide-angle Lens. If you really want to go nuts, you can opt for their DOF adapters that allow you to attach Nikon and Canon lenses to your iPhone. The adapters start at $178, but you can buy the TurtleJacket with the adapter for as low as $255. Can you imagine taking a call with a 4 inch lens sticking out of the back of your phone?

  2. By the time you haul all this extra stuff with you to turn your iPhone into a real camera, it would be easier to just bring a camera with you.

  3. I would be irritated if I was about to take a picture and my camera rang and ruined my shot…

And, wont I look odd talking in to my camera?
