Bandolier Your Gear with the KangaTek GO

When pants pockets just don’t seem to have the capacity for all of your personal gadgets and gear, what do you do? Backpack? Messenger bag? Those are fine and all, but if you don’t have that much indispensable tech and kit, then you want something a bit less bulky. The KangaTek GO just might be it. It’s a low-profile  ”personal holder” that slings over either shoulder and across your chest and back in bandolier style, and is adjustable in length. Made of water-resistant neoprene, it contains four separate, zippered pockets to hold small items of various sizes and the top pocket includes an earbud port. Available in Copper, Jet, Jade and Flamingo colors, $39.99 each. I’ve seen several items like this over the years, but the style of this one intrigues me. Ready to bandolier up?

I’d wear one while hiking, but I don’t think I’d wear one as an everyday “bag”.

The runnur from http://gorunnur.com/products.html is along the same lines…

It is an interesting ‘in between’ idea, but the photos bring to mind a Scout sash, a medical sling, a minimal safety vest, etc.- none of which are particularly ‘cool’. At best, this looks like more ‘nerd wear’.

Perhaps if there was more of an obvious pouch on the end or something- but then I guess it would either look like Chewbacca’s bag or the Maxpedition bag.

@Julie – Yeah, I think I tend to agree with you on that.

@digi_owl – You mean this one? http://the-gadgeteer.com/2011/06/18/setgo-transport-chewbaccas-gadget-hauler/

@Mark Adkins – Agreed. Although at this point, I think if someone like Maxpedition could make their version of Chewie’s bag, I’d probably buy it. ;-)
