popa for iphoneThe iPhone 4 and 4S have good cameras, but the iPhone can be a bit difficult to use when taking photos.  The iOS 5 update made it easier by enabling the volume-up bottom as the shutter release, but the uncased iPhone can be slippery to hold on to because of its sleek design.  The POPA from Beep Industries attaches to the docking connector and adds a finger grip, a “big red button” shutter release, and a tripod mount.  There’s also a leather wrist strap that screws into the tripod mount.  You’ll pair the POPA with the free POPA app to be able to capture photos and send them to your camera’s photo album, to social sites, email, or even to other apps.  It works with iPhone 4 and 4S running iOS 4.2 or higher.  The POPA is £49.99 (about $75), and the company ships worldwide.

  2. This is pretty darn cool but I wonder since I upgrade to the latest iPhone when it comes out and when the iPhone 5 comes out it will be obsolete? Probably! But still looks cool enough to have on hand and use on a trip!
