copper river ipad bagCopper River Bags makes a line of rustic leather bags for laptops, iPad, and most anything you need to carry.  These bags are made in the US, but they can be shipped internationally.  Shown is the iPad Traveler Bag No. 10.  This bag is handmade with leather, microsuede, and solid metal rivets.  It has been double stitched, and it has a wide webbing shoulder strap.  The Traveler, as shown in brown distressed leather, is $69.95.  It’s available in other colors and with alligator-embossed accents.  Some configurations are $79.95.

  2. Though I don’t own an IPad, this bag is really neat for anyone who does. It’s a cool looking little bag, nicely shaped and designed.

  3. After looking at the copper river website I can clearly tell from the plagiarized text that these guys are a copycat of Saddleback Leather. They have the (IMO) the same cheesy 100 year guarantee… I strongly doubt that either SBL or CR will be around in 100 years to honor that gimmicky guarantee. Also the spiel about being hand crafted by a skilled leather worker and not “some dark, dank sweatshop” is a total rip off of SBL. If these are family made in their shop, then how come there isn’t a single picture of the “family” making these or pictures of their USA shop? Makes me wonder. Lastly, they say that each bag is made to order and not stockpiled… take a look at the quantities they have for sale on Etsy, I would say that is a stockpile. And if they are so limited on production, why do the invite Wholesale & Retail Sales? It seems to me that if a retail outlet order a mass quantity that the poor old leather craftsman would be hard pressed to meet that order. Just seems fishy to me. I would like to see pictures of their family shop before I believe these are made on this side of the ocean.

All in all they only seem to be riding on the coat tails of SBL using non-original text.
