One of the only things I like about winter is sledding with my kids. We love to hurtle at breakneck speeds down a steep hill at the back of our neighborhood. We’d sled all year long if we could. So do it! says Ice Meister with their Slicer all-season sled. In winter, it acts like a traditional sled. In summer, ice blocks are placed on the bottom, lowering the bottom of the sled’s friction coefficient for using it on grassy slopes. The ice blocks are formed using a specially-designed Icer tray that is stored inside the Slicer when not in use. A bit salty at $79.99 (which includes a Slicer sled and two Icer trays), but how else you gonna sled in the summer?

The only thing I like about winter is…. um…. nothing really 😉 Especially when we have ice storms and I lose power for over 24hrs and have to get a hotel room like I did last night. Yay Indiana winters!

Won’t that block of ice melt really quick on a hot summer? And I think that’s why they invented skateboards!! LOL

Ha, I find it interesting the kid is wearing a helmet while using the sled. I wonder if the lawyers made them do it? How many kids do you see wearing a helmet while sledding?
@ Julie – That’s why I wrote “one of the only.” Besides sledding and snowball fights, the only other thing I like about Indiana winters is when they end! 😉

@JR – Well, we sled quite a bit, and though the hill we sled down probably warrants a helmet, we never see anyone wearing them either. Dang lawyers! 😉
Compared to that price, cardboard sledding is way cheaper.
