We love our capacitive touchscreens, but they are essentially useless while wearing gloves. Most of the solutions out there involve gloves with some type of integrated conductive pads in the fingertips. The social design site Quirky has a bit different flavor with their Digits product. Made of conductive silicone, they have a metal pin on back which can be attached to your own gloves like a threaded thumbtack. $13.99 for a set of four. I tried the 180s Tec Touch gloves in the store and was less than impressed. Think Digits would work better?

At work, we have some knit dissipative gloves, used for controlling ESD when working with electronics. These work great for the iPad/iPhone. Depending on the manufacturer, they’re the same price or less.

@Andy, the gloves in our lab are unlabeled, but a Google search on “ESD gloves” and “knit dissipative gloves” turns up a bunch of hits.
