Roku has finally enabled the USB port on the XD|S, their flagship media player. This enhancement allows for you to play media content directly from USB storage, such as a thumb drive or external hard drive. This feature has been a long time coming. While this  ability has been available through third-party channels/hacks, the latest firmware (2.9 build 1529) from Roku makes it available for download via the Channel Store. This definitely makes a great device even better.

I LOVE my Roku player. The USB port will be a nice added feature. Esp for just simple slide shows when guest bring pictures over on thumbdrives.
