mouse 1I used to never give much thought to the mouse I was using, until one of my co-workers bought one for one of our computers.  The thing just didn’t fit comfortably in my hand at all and I even avoided that computer if possible because of the uncomfortable mouse. On the other hand, the Smartfish ErgoMotion Laser Mouse is one I would seek out to use. Especially designed to help ease/prevent symptoms of carpal tunnel,  the mouse has a patented pivot motion design that allows forward and back pivoting as well as lateral pivoting for exceptional hand comfort.  Lefties rejoice- this mouse is ambidextrous.

Bottom of mouse- note bay to hold transceiver

I have used the mouse for two weeks now and have found it very accurate when moving the cursor.  The left and right-click buttons are easy to use as is the scroll wheel (4 way scrolling- up, down and left.right). Two AA batteries (included) power the mouse.  The company claims the batteries may last up to 10 months!  There is an on-off button on the bottom which when used will obviously extend battery life. The 800 dpi mouse uses a 2.4 GHZ wireless connection to a small transceiver that plugs into a usb port.  The transceiver snaps into the bottom of the mouse when not in use. I have experienced no interference using the mouse at all. I love not having a cord to get tangled as well.  All in all this is by far the best mouse I have used.  They also make a smaller version, the Ergomotion Travel Laser Mouse if you would like a smaller mouse.  This mouse measures in at 2.75″x1.5″x5.o” and weighs 8 oz.
