easy2pick wireless luggage finderWe have some tree-frog green Eagle Creek luggage that’s easy to find on the luggage carousel, but if your luggage is a bit hard to spot on the luggage-go-round, you might need an Easy2Pick Wireless Luggage Finder from NAFTLI, Inc.  Simply attach the luggage tag transmitter (with normal address card, too) to your bag and the receiver to your keychain.  Turn on the receiver as you approach the luggage carousel and it will begin to beep and flash when your bag approaches within 20 meters of your location.  Each receiver can be programmed to respond to up to five unique transmitter tags.  You can get an Easy2Pick Wireless Luggage Finder at Amazon for $24.95.

  2. I was confused about how this would work with multiple tags — I could just picture the receiver continuing to go off after you retrieved your first bag, since it’s now sitting at your feet, making it impossible to tell when the next bag is getting near.

But it looks like the tags themselves contain a battery and have an on/off switch, so you can just turn the tag off once you’ve pulled the bag off of the carousel. Of course, this also means that it’s technically possible for the tag to be accidentally turned off in handling, or for the battery to die during the flight. Still, a very cool gadget, and certainly better than hanging out at the carousel and examining every bag as it comes out.

  3. I doubt the airport security would like this. Having you holding something on your hand that beeps while looking for a specific bag. You’ll get cautious looks from other passengers and possibly get tackled by 50 armed guards.

  4. I have a VERY low tech solution to this problem. My luggage is bubble-gum pink.
I can spot it way further than 20 meters away.
