Hi Julie,
I really enjoyed reading your article. I especially appreciated your honesty concerning some of the (really small) problems incountered when you have to move the hanging lights during the day to get direct sunlight. I LOVE my outdoor solar lights and am amazed at how nice your night time pics turned out. I can't seem to get any good pictures. Thanks for sharing and talking about the different types of lights and how easy they are to install and enjoy.

Hi Julie,

Thanks for sharing this.

I actually have LED lights indoor but also thinking of having them installed outdoor. I guess one of the key benefits I must say is cost savings. I did my study and it saved more than 15% bill last year after I used LED for almost a year..not a lot, but simply a good way to go green.

Julie,

About the last set of lights you wrote "The only thing I don’t like about them is that they don’t come on till it’s very dark outside."

If you look at the solar panel, there is a small sensor near it. If you were to partially cover that sensor with electrical tape, or completely cover the sensor with window tint, it would probably turn on earlier for you.

Thanks for the review on multiple options, I've been looking at different solar options for a path near my garden.
