jaybird headphonesThe JayBird Sportsband headphone may look retro, but don’t let the 80’s style fool you. These are Bluetooth headphones with apt-X audio feature that provides CD quality sound. Priced at just $99, they come in nine color schemes: limonade green, sonic blue, orange crush, runner’s red, toffee-apple red, midnight black, polar blue, powder-puff pink, snow white. Remote command buttons on the side offer play, pause, next track, back track, change volume and call answering functions. You can pair these headphones with any A2DP Bluetooth enabled device for bass-rich audio. If you happen to own Apple’s new Mac Mini, it is the first to carry apt-X and therefore, does not require a JayBird Bluetooth adapter to play in apt-X quality to the Sportsband Bluetooth headphones. JayBird offers 2 adapters that give you apt-X on other devices. The iSport and uSport each cost $50 when purchased with Sportsband. The iSport Bluetooth adapter is for iPods, iPhones and iPads, while the uSport Universal Bluetooth Adapter works with any device with a regular sized headphone jack (3.5mm).

  2. I recently had a HORRIBLE encounter with these people, and feel a need to warn people about this company. Honestly, I don’t know how these folks are still in business.

I placed an order for the Sportband, and never received them. After emailing the company, they sent me a tracking number several days later that showed the item had been returned to them in Utah. WTF?

So, I called. Some kid named Marcos told me that it was all my fault, because I had not filled in the zip code correctly. (Funny how any website would allow that to happen in this day and age). So, my headset sat in Utah. He told me that I’d have to pay for shipping AGAIN, since it was my fault.

I was amazed. Here, I was spending $200 dollars with them, and they were arguing over $11.

3 days later, he sent me an email, telling me the issue had not been resolved, since it was my “fault”. I called him up, and asked for a refund. And yes I’m out the $11 shipping for an item I never saw.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. They have no interest in working with a customer, or providing anything that resembles service.
