Messenger bags have been around for close to 200 years. Booq’s new Mamba Catch takes the classic style and kicks it up several notches to bring it into the 21st century. The Catch is a unisex laptop messenger bag with pockets galore (over 20 of them!). The one thing it doesn’t have though, is a main flap. The interior is accessed by zipper. It comes in two sizes and is priced at $129.95 – $149.95. It looks cool, but I’m not sure about the no-flap feature. I likes me a nice flap. :)

I found this amazing, padded bag at REI for 1/3 the price:

It is my gear bag for this year’s storm chase, and probably into the foreseeable future.

@Mark It looks a bit like a lunch box to me. :) I’m still a real fan of the classic messenger bag style. I like a wide open main compartment with a flap can easy fold back and stay open. I leave my bag on my desk here at work open all day so I can get things in and out of it easily.
