Did you know that hearing experts are predicting that 1 in 10 30-year-olds will be wearing a hearing aid by 2020 because of exposure to continuous loud music from earphones?   The new Audéo Perfect Bass earphones from Phonak offer a way to enjoy music with a rich bass end while minimizing hearing damage from excessively loud volumes.  The earphones use filters to punch up the bass without compromising the music.  The silicone earpieces give a tight, comfortable fit that blocks out up to 23 dB of ambient noise.  These features allow you to enjoy the bass even at lower volumes.  The earphones use a standard 3.5 mm plug, so they are compatible with most mp3 players.  The Audéo Perfect Bass earphones will be available this month at Phonak online for £68 ($100) without a microphone or £85 ($125) with a microphone.

If you have a good sound isolation from external noises, it will allow you to listen to your favorite music at a volume that won’t harm your hearing. The leading brands of noise isolating earphones can block up to 37 dB of ambient noise, which is very good and a lot more than what noise canceling headphones can achieve, plus they don’t insert additional sounds to your music.
