The AViiQ Portable Laptop Stand provides an optimal ergonomic angle of 12 degrees. It is made from Hylite, a composite material comprised of aluminum sheets bonded to a polypropylene core. I’m not sure what the heck that is, the stand is very thin, stylish and folds down to 1/4” for extreme portability. It’s available now for $79.95.

Um, from what I understand, the ‘optimal ergonomic angle’ would be angled _away_ from you… (Which takes some getting used to, I’ll admit.)

Polypropylene is an extremely versatile plastic.

Yep, angling it towards you creates all kinds of problems. Other than possibly increasing airflow, this has to be an extreme waste of money. Eighty dollars? Really?

I remember back in the day, the laptops had built-in raisers that pops out. I find that much more convenient than carrying an extra stand. I miss that functionality.

I’ve never understood the need for expensive ( or even inexpensive ) laptop stands. Couldn’t I just prop up my laptop on practically anything I have laying around ? A paperback ? A piece of styrofoam ? A couple of altoid tins ?
