The iPad will be here in less than a month, so it’s time to start dreaming about all the ways that you’ll use and carry it. Enter the modulR case and accessory system. he system consists of a play through case that has four ‘buttons’ on the back that can accept interchangeable accessory attachments. Their site shows a desktop stand, car fixture, shoulder strap, etc. I think that the design looks pretty cool, but no word on pricing yet. The modulR system will be available this summer.

Ah, you beat me to it! I was going to post this, but I had sent an email to the company with a few questions, and was waiting on a reply first.

Anyway, a representative from the company informs me that they do have some sort of under-cabinet mount in the works as well. That pretty much seals the deal for me… the first company to provide a tangible, modular solution for easily mounting an iPad under a kitchen cabinet without removing the device from its case is going to get my money.

@Andy Are you going to use it for recipes or watching Rachel Ray while cooking up some sammies? I just want to smack her every time she uses baby talk ;)

Not exactly a big fan of Rachel Ray… I’m perfectly willing to pronounce “extra virgin olive oil” in its entirety. :)

But yes, from the moment I saw the iPad revealed, I knew I wanted to use one for recipes in the kitchen. I have MacGourmet on both my Mac and my iPhone, and I have a sneaking suspicion that it won’t take Mariner Software long to whip up a version that is optimized for the iPad.

funny that the kickstand appears to only allow portrait, not landscape.

So I have gotten a hold of my very own modulR case and cover. I would have to say that it is a great iPad case! The rubberized plastic sleeve allows for surprisingly easy access to all buttons and ports. The snap over heavy plastic cover is perfect for protecting your iPad on the go or while sitting on your desk.

Additionally, the raised feet with rubber stoppers allow for ease of using while using a stylus or touch intensive apps!

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a utilitarian yet stylus case for everyday to heavy use.
