Carry a Toolbox in Your Wallet

ThinkGeek has some handy, credit-card sized tools that you can carry with you in your wallet.  These wallet tools are made of stainless steel, and as ThinkGeek says, are “perfect for your inner MacGyver.”   ThinkGeek has the hex-head spanner wrench for metric bolts 6-14 mm, guitar plectrums, ice scraper, and a bottle opener.  Prices are $6.99 for the ice scraper, $9.99 for each of the others.

I’ve never heard of a stainless steel guitar pick. I’m doubtful of the sound quality.

I love Think Geek, wallet tools, and geek stuff, so I SHOULD love these, but…
    – I use tools at work all the time, and I would almost NEVER have a situation where a ‘flat’ wrench like that would work,
    – I am not real sure I would really want to use a ‘stainless steel’ ice scraper on my windshield, and
    – There are dozens of ‘MacGyver’ ways to open a bottle without needing a special tool for it.

Kind of sad, really. I am still looking for the PERFECT wallet or even pocket tool kit. Sigh.
