Clive Tutt send in a link to this handmade stainless steel (also available in Aluminum) iPhone 3G/3Gs case created by industrial designer Ryan Glasgow. The case has been designed to allow some functionality without lifting the lid. Cutouts in the cover will still allow you to see the time and caller details. This case can be ordered through Ryan for $95. Engraving is an added option.

I sent this to my iPhone friends!
I heard Aluminum blocks the mobile signal which is why the iPhone back is plastic and not a Macbook like unibody. Not sure if that’s true.
Funny… how come I can’t find this item on the linked website? Maybe I missed it?
I can’t find it on the website either. But then again, maybe they realized it blocks the RF signal and pulled the product as a result! Designers can be so absent minded.
