kindle sdkFrom Engadget and the Amazon Kindle forum, looks like the wish-lists for the Kindle may become a reality.  Below are links to Amazon’s information on the Software Development Kit (SDK).

The primary language is Java (micro-edition) and has a few Kindle Application Programming Interface (API) libraries.

So what is YOUR wish-list for the Kindle?  Here are a few starters:

  • An MP3 Player that plays things IN ORDER
  • A content sorter
  • A Quiz application

  2. I honestly don’t understand why we should keep praising companies for providing horribly locked down and restrictive SDKs for their devices. All it does is continue the practice.

  3. I am a native Spanish speaker, so I find the integrated dictionary very helpful. I would like to have the ability to chose the English definition or the translation to another language for the words that are new to me.

  4. I would like to see more color for the Kindle. I realize the book text should be black and white, but the image covers and captions shouldn’t have to be and neither does the Kindle store. It would be much more fun to browse the store and see the book covers in the “real” form.
