2011, and I just bought a Prime 'Ear Candy' for myself & another for my dad (who's not the most tech saavy, yet willing to try :) Paid around $20 for each (eBay) & have to say that I've had absolutely no problems at all. Though I will agree that it is a bit of a pain w/ unintentionally pushing buttons while trying to get a good fit, it is otherwise a snap to link up, no time to charge & actually use - even with my phone at a good distance. Overall I'm very happy & grateful to have read this article prior to making my purchases

@jawhasdropped: You've got it backwards. This whole page is partially about how I finally found a bluetooth headset that is well-designed and a pleasure to use, and partially about how the manufacturer of that headset has improved even further on their product.

Did you even bother to read the article?

I just got a Jawbone Prime and can’t get it to charge or light up

I don’t see any lights when I plugged the Unit into the USB port on the Computer or the charger plugged into the wall - Why?
Is it Charging?

@C. Scott: Yes, the Jawbone Prime does include Multipoint functionality, and can be paired to two Bluetooth-enabled devices at once.

@Charles A quick look around the various deals websites shows that you can pick up the Jawbone Prime for as little as $65.

We have both he Jawbone 2 and the Prime. We have found very little difference between the two. Frankly, I have found the Plantronics to be better. One of the big problems I have with the Jawbone is fit....it is constantly coming loose and pressing it back in my ear invariably hits the button causing a hangup.

Sound quality of both is the same. People have told me that outbound isn't that great.

The Jawbone 2 at $62.50 costs almost 50% less than the Prime. Would you still recommend the Prime over the Jawbone 2 considering the price difference?

John, I'm certainly not qualified to troubleshoot Aliph's products, but what you're experiencing certainly doesn't sound normal. You're still within the one-year warranty period, so I'd suggest contacting Aliph customer support. They've been quite responsive to my inquiries, so you shouldn't have any problem getting a resolution to this issue one way or another.

I've only had my Aliph Jawbone 2 II Bluetooth Headset for about three months, but over the past 2-3 weeks I can't seem to get it to charge. I came with a USB port charger, and when I put it on charge, the light is red. After 10 minutes it turns white. As soon as I take it off the charger and turn it on, it blinkes white once then starts blinking red again. Am I doing something wrong? I've even left it on charge for several hours, but it still acts the same.
