Good review!

Mine died after a year and a half or so. Loved it the whole time I had it. I called iHome Audio and told them that our state of Maine has a mandatory 4 year warranty. Super nice woman Kathy on the phone (1-800-288-2792) said to send it in with a $10 money order for handling and got it back 3 weeks or so later. Working good as new. She said that they had to clean some thing on the board. I think it is a known issue, but I had to push slightly at tier 1 support to get to tier 2 to get it repaired. Check your state's warranty laws to see if you qualify. Here is what Maine's Looks like:

http://www.maine.gov/ag/dynld/documents/clg4.pdf

There is a test that they had me do, to leave it unplugged for x amount of time. Anywhere from 15-30 min to overnight. If you plug it back in and it works, even for a second or two, I'd send it in. There was an order to which plug to unplug first, from the back of the unit or the wall and back in, but you will have to call them to get that info. Good luck!

Again, I love this clock, but they really missed the ball by not putting an audio out or optional extra speaker for two person bed. One side has to crank it for the other to hear when going to bed. Hopefully the come out with a good replacement with this option. Perhaps a mini dock charger on top of the additional extra speaker with the ability to play alarm only on that side. Don't know how they would go about it, but it would be cool.

Mine died too, and at about the same age. Bought Jan 2010 and died this morning, April 2011. Nothing is even remotely getting it to turn on or even look like it's getting any power. Buyer beware.

Mine died after 15 months. Just total black screen and no sound or charging capability. Won't reset, just dead.

A great product for 11 months. Now it is completely dead. That amounts to about $14 a month.

I prefer using an app to do this because I travel a lot. It's also much cheaper although you do have to make sure the app is running for the alarm to go off. I use this one http://www.rosebraetechnology.com/home/clocks which lets you see lots of time zones at once, but there's loads of other apps available.

Thanks for the great review! Do you know or can anyone tell me if this is 110 and 220 volt compatible? I'm moving to Germany soon but this would be the perfect gift for the wife (actually, me too). Thanks!
