@Nerd Galore I'm not offended at all by your comments. I'm sorry that you're unhappy with The Gadgeteer though. As for the non-gadget reviews, we've done those since day one. I like to mix things up and post about things that may or may not appeal to everyone. I agree that the depilatory device is on the far side of the spectrum of products that we review here, I promise to pull the reigns tighter.
As for the deals of the day, I don't see what is garish about them? You'd be surprised how many people have emailed me thanking me for posting them because they were able to save money on a product that they were shopping for. That's important these days :)

I hope you're not offended by this comment, but there have been a number of changes on this site that I'm not enjoying. The introduction of low-tech reviews is quite unappealing to me. I don't simply mean depilatory devices. Rather, if something doesn't use batteries or wouldn't be considered a geek toy/tool, it never would have been reviewed here in the past. (I've been a reader since the beginning.)

Also, these "deals of the day" are really, really annoying. They are just too garish, have little appeal for sophisticated buyers (presumably your readers), and placing them in the review list is simply annoying.

Finally, the guest reviewers often leave something to be desired. I'm sorry for being overly critical, but the-gadgeteer no longer captures my interest like it used to. It could simply be the days of PDA glory are gone, but I really think the editorial changes are the problem. I wish you'd return to a somewhat "elitist," cool gadget site.

Thanks for listening.
