I think the unit could accomodate C/D batteries and typically, as they are bigger, their capacity of mAH is better. However, I agree with Chris.... nearly everything that needs a battery in my house is powered by AA/AAA batteries. Not many things I have use C/D cells. Except one of the kids racing tracks which uses them, nothing does! Also, you can now get Lithium powered AA cells (Energiser Lithium) which provide more power for longer, especially in items such as torches and digital cameras.

Why on Earth do you what it to use C or D-size batteries?!?! They are heavy and have became obsolete. There aren't many rechargeable C/D size batteries (which can be a deal-breaker for me personally). It just doesn't make sense for the average user with plenty of AA batteries laying around in the house. Duracell - Keep the right course and continue to use AA/AAA!

Looks like a nice piece. I wish that they use C- or D-size batteries because the casing is big enough.
