They are definitely worth the $30 that I paid for them. I think they sound GREAT for their size and I REALLY like they they are put together with little magnets, retractrable cords, red color, etc. etc. :) Overall, I would rate them 4 out of 5. Why? Because they seem a little fragile. I have two tweens and I don't know if I'm going to let them borrow them. Yes, it’s me again :)

I am done with cheapo stuff. There is another "manufacturer" that is also offering a virtually identical speaker. Not sure if people are knocking off each others' products or there is a single mother ship in China that makes them all. I'm very pleased with the iHome version. Decent sound for the size and very tiny. I just got back from a trip to Russia and carried the speakers tucked into a traveling Lexan wine glass from rei.
