We’ve all seen compact wireless keyboards that you can use to control your computer or HTPC from several feet away, but this keyboard from EFO looks like a great alternative. For one thing, it has a much smaller form factor and is backlit. It also has a built in touch pad so you can control the cursor. It requires a USB dongle and is compatible with Windows, Mac OS and Linux. You can get one for $40.

I like the looks of this much more than what I currently use for my “living room PC” which is hooked to my TV. Currently, I use a full sized wireless keyboard. I think this would be much better for what I need.
Any chance of getting a review of this item?
Thanks!
@Jhon I’ll give it a shot 🙂
Def. review please … would be great 4 a HTPC, looks like it might operate as a be a cabled and/or wireless device & rechargeable via miniUSB.
Yes, def. review please.
I would also love to see a review of this. The touchpad on my current wireless keyboard is unreliable and I have been looking for alternatives.
I’d hook my Mac Mini back up to my TV to test this keyboard… 🙂 I’ve asked them to allow me to review it. Keep your fingers crossed.
Julie:
Thanks! I’ll be optimistic and will look forward to your review!
I bought a Logitech DiNovo Mini for this purpose. Works great, and I like the fact that I can choose between using the provided dongle or the built-in Bluetooth. Of course, it also costs more than twice what the EFO device does.
What I’d *really* like to see is an Apple Bluetooth keyboard with a built-in multi-touch touchpad. That would be just about perfect, both for desktop use and for home theater Mac use.
There is also a great keyboard app for the iPhone / iPod Touch called Air Mouse Pro that also allows Mac and PC keyboard and mouse control via the touch screen. A less expensive alternative if you have one.
I bought one on impulse. Not bad actually. Range is pretty good and the quality seems fine (though not great)
@Walt R I just received a review sample yesterday. So I’ll be checking it out soon 🙂
@Julie
any update on your review for your keyboard?
@Mr. Randy Watson I’ll try to get to it for posting early next week or sooner if possible.
