Hmmm....I see your point. But for me, I actually like the fact that I can carry it like a purse. It looks less obvious. And it lets me minimize the number of bags I have to carry. I have to admit I am one of those people who carries big hobo bags with a ton of things in them :-) I come prepared! With this bag the weight hasnt been much of an issue unless I have to walk longer distances. But then any bag would weigh me down. At the very least, put a shoulder strap option on there!
