While I’m waiting to fondle my own Zune HD, which is waiting for me at home, I’ve been checking out Rapid Repair’s Zune HD Repair Guide. These guys received their Zune today too and the first thing they did was take it apart! Shudder 
They have more guts than I do.

@Julie : Can you check if there’s a way to just “drag and drop” songs onto the zune? Like if you can mount it as mass storage and just copy and paste mp3 directly in to the zune. I really don’t like proprietary music software.
+1 on drag-and-drop. I will NEVER buy anything from Apple, as long as they insist on me using iTunes to unlock it in order to use it.

@MartinN : That’s why I use Samsung YP-P2. It’s drag and drop functionality. Luckily since Samsung’s sync software is worse than itunes.
