I apparently did not package it enough- but then I am not used to packing 15lb items! It apprently got dropped on a corner from some height, and some of the jacks got jammed up. He did not feel safe plugging it in so I don't know if it still works. When i visit him over the summer, we'll give it another try! Having had similarly sized external hard drives fail several times , it’s great to see a manufacturer who understands that product longevity is important in backup products. So very tempting, if only for the ultra-cool factor, and after exchanging emails with the guys at IoSafe I wouldn't think twice about their ability to help if recovery was ever required.
