  2. This is a great idea (if it actually works and can’t just be removed), but wow that makes the thumbdrive big. This would look funny on one of those super micro thumb drives. 🙂

  3. A bit overkill don’t you think? I just keep mine inside a safe buried underground under my motion sensor laser turret. <– just kidding…it's really a motion sensor laser AND rocket turret…lol

  4. You could also just bust the plastic and solder a pigtail to the plug. Ive had to do it to one that I broke off in my computer

  5. its a great idea for those students who leave theirs in a computer lab/library – but most of the time a left behind thumbdrive is left in the actual computer, which would make this useless.

how about a lock that locks the thumbdrive to the computer? then if you accidently leave it in a public/office computer, it will still be there when you come back for it?

ive found the most effective way of remembering to take the drive with you is to attach something large and colourful part (like a bright blue lanyard). it also makes it easier to find in a bottomless bag of gagets
