geektest

Back in college (late 80′s) there was a silly 100 question test/questionnaire that numerically scaled your sexual exploits. It typically involved alcohol and members of the opposite sex. Who knows, it still might exist today in some form or another….

I was dancing the Net this morning and came across a similar quiz at Wired.com. But their test measures your geekiness: 100 Essential Skills for Geeks. Being 40-something now (and a tech-geek), it seems a lot more relevant….. ;)

That’s kind of an overwhelming list! I think, without you know, actually TRYING it, that I would hit about 60%. Kind of a let down considering how much of a geek I am.

I saw that the other day, and did OK for one or two, and then it started to get really hard! I can’t imagine anyone being able to do all those things.

My favorites were this series:
78 Build a fighting robot.
79 Program a fighting robot.
80 Build a failsafe into a fighting robot so it doesn’t kill you.
