Judging by the photos it appears to be kind of flimsy and nowhere near the cordura roughness we (Maxpedition people) are used to. So I'm wondering how much wear and tear would this withstand with a Leatherman tossed in, jerked up and down while riding a quad...
...Aaah, what the heck! I just ordered one.

I'd like something like that to carry my tools for working on construction projects around the house. I've never cared for the belt style tool belts...they always seem to hang too low or try to pull my pants down...hence the "plumbers butt" that is sometimes spotted. :-)

I'm certainly a grade a kook, I've had a tailor make up some dress pants with a kind of cargo pockets (a bit more discreet than that), I'd consider something like this for traveling to China, etc. Once you're on the road, all style bets are off.

Ironically, after going through virtually all the variants I could find (from the eVest to a custom bandolero I had mad) I've wound up wearing the most conventional of all attire, a sport coat. It gives me four extra big pockets and I can wear it anyway without looking like a kook.

I don't know seems like too much stuff for the legs. I remember reading an article awhile ago about how soldiers on foot patrols should use shoulder or chest rigs for handguns instead of the low leg holsters because of the weight tiring the legs. Nevermind that the setup looks too warm for me coverage issues. That said I do tend to wear cargo shorts(dad pants) with too much stuff in the leg pockets and I also own and use(occasionally) a Maxpedition Thermite Versipack. Usually I carry a Remora Gearslinger as my manbag.

1) If you'd strap a blaster on the other thigh, you'd look like Harrison Ford in the first Star Wars.
2) The LAPD is wearing something similar to hold their Tasers.
3) With that thigh strap, you could doubel up as an emergency tourniquet. ^-)

If a water bottle fits in one of those pockets, I could see upgrading the spontaneous-hike pack I keep in the trunk to one of these; right now I have a butt-pack with some energy bars, water bottle, bug spray, small first aid kit, and polarizing filters - this might be less cumbersome, especially when also wearing a jacket...
