pocket-retroThinkGeek has just posted the Pocket Retro Game Emulator on their site. This pocket sized device has a 2.8 inch screen (320×240), 4GB of internal memor and can be expanded via miniSD. The great thing is that you don’t have load emulator software to use it. Just load your favorite 8-16 bit ROMs from NES, SNES, GBA, Sega Genesis, or Neo Geo games and start playing right away. It’s only $99.99. Fun stuff :)

I got the same exact thing but in white from DealExtreme for a lot cheaper with free shipping. It works great. Supports all ROMs. Battery life is great too. Also plays music, movies, ebook, FM radio, pictures, etc. Great buy if you like to relive the old days!!

Yep. It’s $18 less. But DealExtreme ships everything from China via regular Airmail and it takes few weeks to arrive. If you want faster shipping (like 3-5 days) you have to pay $15 more. I think ThinkGeek is the only retailer that stocks this item in the USA.

@Tomi : I actually got it from DealExtreme when it first came out for only $64. I guess they raised the price since it was a great seller!!

How well do the controls work with the ROMs? I’m thinking of picking this up.

@Blacknimbus : Controls are great. You can also define the buttons if you like. Solid build quality. You will love it.
