I don’t have a netbook, but the one that I want would have to
be very similar to the Lenovo ThinkPad X200s that I got recently. (Lenovo
is rumored to be offering a Celeron M version of the X200s for
~$1,000, which would make that version a netbook IMHO.)
The X200s is 2.43 lbs with a 4 cell battery (up to 4.4 hr life with XP,
4.2 hr w/ Vista), 2.71 lbs with a 6 cell, and 3.05 lbs with a 9 cell.
It has a 12″ screen, a full size keyboard (same as the ThinkPad T
series), Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz CPU, up to 4 GB RAM, and a 160 GB
7200 rpm 2.5″ SATA hard disk (or you can put in an SSD or a 500
GB 7200 rpm hard disk).

I have a samsung Q1 which is tablet format. Also have a MSI wind. Gave sisters EEEs (or is that “eeeeeee”?). I like the Q1 since the netbook keyboards are just so tiny.

I wish to buy an Asus eee pc 1000HE. I am looking now for the best deal price wise. I did purchase and Acer Aspire One in ruby red. But was disappointed by how dark the screen was…so i returned it. Hopefully I will buy this week.

I have been waiting for the Eee PC 1008HA‏. Thin and portable with just enough room to use it on the go (160GB HD) and with my usbdrives. And the battery life is 6 hrs.

I have a MacBook and and Acer Aspire One running Win XP. When I travel I find the Acer much more convenient. And the fact it runs XP makes it more compatible with mainstream apps. The MacBook is for using at home and at the office. I find it it a bit heavy for traveling.

I’ve had my MSI Wind for 9 months. I got it originally to use while traveling, but have ended up using it on a daily basis as an alternative to my desktop. It’s extremely portable and has a great battery life. It does all the things I need in a great package.
