		<description>There is nothing to lose from entering a competition, if your concerned about you brand or name, you can just do it under an anonymous name. Like Julie says, your not being forced to enter, if your to busy then don&#039;t enter, but there is no reason to knock the idea.</description>

		<description>I urge all serious artists to avoid logo contests. I can make more than that working for a company who chose me based on my portfolio, and we can work together to get them a design they are truly happy with.

I know The Gadgeteer sees no problem with them. She uses these contests herself on this and other sites, but there is a reason artists come away from these things feeling ripped off.

Here are some of the reasons why serious artists avoid contests. Protect yourself. Don&#039;t enter.
