I was a key stroke from ordering one. Thanks for the comment no way to keep a still image, as an artist I was going to use it as a way to work for photos in my studio. Guess I will wait for the next improved model. ( are you listening Hi-Den ?)

I am reluctant to "recommend" any solution, because they all seem to have issues. Read some of the reviews here for video/photo viewers. What works for me though, is using an obsolete laptop that has TV optput. I plug it in to the TV and run a slide show when family are over. Another possibility is purchasing a TV with USB ports and photo capability. I you are a Windows Vista user, the Media Center application does a terrific job of displaying media on the PC and you could connect it to you TV or purchase a media center extender.

What do you recommend if you want to turn a tv or monitor into a full time picture viewer? I want a 15" or larger reliable digital picture frame, and since I can not find one (reliable, I bought 2 now and they both died within a year) I figured I could put one together.

Thanks a lot. I was going to buy today. I had it on my shopping cart, and I said to myself: check what others are saying. I am glad I did. you just save me 70 bucks.
