  2. Hey Julie – How about giving Swaptree a try and letting us know how it works out for you? Maybe it would be a good January review — a way to trade in unwanted holiday gifts for something that you actually want?

    Happy Holidays!

  3. Like you, I have several MP3 players (and just scored a Zune 30 from woot in a random boc), but my real favorite I have not seen reviewed here, and that’s the Sansa Clip 8gb unit.

With an FM radio, voice recorder, and a profile as small as an ipod shuffle but with an OLED display, it’s the best workout partner one could have.

I’d love to hear/read your thoughts on the Clip.

    Harold

  4. I would like to see a comparison between the jawbone 2 and the plantronics 925. They are both great products, but I want to know which is better, because I plan to buy a bluetooth headset very soon, thanks.

  5. Chumby! Desire for one burns in my soul. But I wonder if it’s for me. My gadget lust has betrayed me in the past.

  6. I would like to see a Gadgeteer review of the Logitech Harmony 880 Advanced Universal Remote Control. I have many remotes and now need one remote to control them all. The price tag on these scares me and I would love to have a dependable review before I consider shelling out the clams to buy one!

  7. I would like to learn the most effective way to keep coffee hot in your car. I enjoy the miscellaneous reviews you do.

  8. I would like to see you review the Orbino case line for the iPhone 3G. I would also like to see a review of the open face case by Fortte reviewed on here…

  9. I would also see more devices like the Roku and other Video gadgets, also I would be interested in like the Android type phones when they hit the streets.

  10. Dr, Clyde Gillespie

I purchased an Apple Macbook in August of 2008. At that time I had a chance to also purchase an Apple Touch Ipod, for $300. On month later, the prices changed and the Ipod dropped to $200. However, the real concern here and one that I would like addressed, is this. Both products were not the newer models. The macbook was on a line of being one year old, as was the Mac. I think people need to know that when they purchase products on line that they me be getting a 2nd year model, or something that is about to phased out.

    Thank you. Dr. Clyde Gillespie

  11. Hi Julie,
I’ve recently been confronting the problem of touchscreen versus non-touchscreen WM devices (I prefer non-touchscreen). How about a head-to-head comparison of a few of the “best” touchscreen vs. non-touchscreen devices and help decide which is easier to use for the average person.

  12. something I haven’t seen (or maybe I missed it), is a good review or the SE Walkman phones. I’d like to hear how they do compared to other music phones.

  13. I’ve been using a palm for several years. For one thing, it works all over the world except Japan. Is the Sprint Centro a palm OS? All of my phone stuff is palm. As for a product review I’d like to see, how about computer games that work on a Mac platform?

  14. I just want Julie to tell me straight out which netbook I should buy. 🙂

But a review of the Sony’s new Vaio (coming next month) would be nice. Or the Apple netbook.

  15. I would like to see a pre-release review of the Palm Nova OS. Now I know that this has not been released, but I am very interested in details. So when the chance arises I think you should review it.
    Thanks

  16. I would like you to review a DirecTV HD DVR and compare to an HD Tivo. Is the operation as intuitive?

  17. I’m looking at laptops at the moment…how about reviewing the Voodoo Envy? I don’t know how powerful or practical it is, but it looks nice.

Either that, or the Gateway P-7801u FX Edition.

  18. Since the Consumer Reports rated the Verizon Dare phone on their 100 Best list, would like to see a lay person’s review also.

  19. A Blackberry Storm review would be nice, especially since there have been several OS updates since its initial release. I know some of the initial reviews were not that glowing, so it would be interesting to see how it stacks up now.

  20. I would enjoy seeing your take on the Archos 5, or Archos 7. Archos is considered by many to be the “standard” for video based portable media players. I have owned several Archos devices, and have enjoyed them immensely.

  21. I’d like to see a review of the RedFly Smartphone Terminal. As a PalmOS user (gasp!) I was one of the few that were interested in the stillborn Palm Folio that worked with Palm as well as MS Smartphones. I had hoped the Redfly product would support both platforms, but alas it does not. But I would love to get a review from Julie, another PalmOS fan.

  22. Have you done any WiFi comparrison reviews? If not, it would be great to see a review on different WiFi products and which ones (in your opinion) would be a better purchase for us as consumers. I’m not really sure what to look for and would love some direction when choosing.

    Thanks a bunch!!!
    -barbarabaker 🙂

  23. I would LOVE to see you review a little gadget called the Buddha Machine. I have one; it’s apparently kind of a cult thing among cutting-edge musicians. It’s made by a company called FM3.

You can find out more about it at fm3buddhamachine.com. No, I have no connection to the company. I’m being deliberately vague about this gadget so as to intrigue you.

  24. I’m currently in the market for a bag. I have my eyes on a Timbuk2 Commute. What I’d like to see is a real world usage review. And this is to include how it would be used off work hours.

  25. Energizer is soon to be realeasing a Rechargeable Solar Charger. I’d love to see a review of its merits.

  26. I would love to see reviews of the new Archos players. They seem very tempting. The Redfly is another one that has grabbed my attention lately. As far as software I would like to see an updated review of the new PIM softwares for Blackberry including Pocket Informant and Adgendus. Have a great holiday!

  27. I’d like to see a review of three or four entry level (under 150 dollars) all-in-one GPS units side-by-side. A Magellan, TomTom, Garmin and Mio product from a first timers perspective. Rated on ease of use, accuracy and convenience, a comparison would really, really help those of us made dizzy by standing in front of an electronics counter loaded with a dozen or more units . . .

  28. Julie, I would like to see the review of the “new-ness” coming from Palm. With the decision to kill off the PDA line, all that will be left will be either smartphones or net devices. We REALLY hope it will be backward compatible, but you would be the one to find that out for us.

    Thanks
    Rusty

  29. I would like to see you review the new Palm Nova Operating System whenever it shows its face.

    thanks

  30. Hi there, I love your reviews, they are very well done. I would enjoy reading a review by you of the HTC Mogul (PPC-8600). It is a very interesting gadget, a smartphone, And I personally would love to see a well written review by you on the subject. Thank you!

  31. Archos TV! I have owned a few Archos devices and have had nothing but success…would love to see a review of the Archos TV, or even the new Series 7 unit…mmmmm…sexy!

  32. Being a mobile gadget kind of guy, I’d like to see more reviews on portable power supplies. I know you’ve had a few, but I’d like to see more.

  33. I would love to see innovative new gadgets – like the stealth switch for computers , etc. Little things that would be nice for daily use at home or at work.

  34. Personally, I am interested in you reviewing more software for phones that go accross multiple platforms. For instance, the iPhone and G1 share some software that is identical – it would be nice to see comparrisons. And sone S60 and Palm software are the same as well – it might be nice to see something of a chart, showing stability, implementation (such as IM or a PDF viewer, etc). I like comparrison shopping 🙂

    Thanks J!

  35. I don’t think it’s been reviewed here yet but how about the XO, the Linux laptop from the One Laptop Per Child Foundation. Via amazon.com you can get one through the Give One, Get One program. It looks like a great opportunity to do something good and get a great, sturdy computer particularly for a young child.

  36. How about a review of small/portable tripods. Such items like Joby’s Gorillapod and Manfrotto’s modopocket to name a few. So many compact cameras out there and having a small pocket tripod comes in handy.

  37. Hi Julie,

I would be really interested in a review of the Myvu Shades. Here is the web site link, http://www.myvu.com/Shades-C25.aspx
It looks like they may be hard to get right now. I would like to know how they work before I hand over $199.00 to $299.00 They sound very tempting. How cool would it be to try these out.

    Virginia

  38. Nokia N810 and while you’re at it, get the FREE N810 Palm O/S emulator from Access. This may be a Palm PDA users only choice now that Palm has decided not to continue the PDA devices.

    Thanks

  39. I agree along with other posters, a blackberry bold or storm. Preferably a bb storm and/or a review of the bb os system in your eyes. You have experience in the other mobile platforms, ie- palm, apple, windows mobile. How would a bb feel in the hands of gadget person who is not necessarily in the corporate world..

  40. I would like to see a review of the new Palm OS, NOVA. I hear it is going to be set loose at CES. If you can get your hands on it, an in-depth review of the “make it or break it” OS from Palm would be really cool.

    Cheers.

  41. Julie,
I have to reiterate what Aleesha requested… you reviewed the TX years ago and were comparing it to then-current options.. most of which are NLA. Since I’m currently looking for a wifi replacement for my old Sony Clie sj33, I would love a review of older non-phone wifi pdas compared to CURRENT options. Here’s what I’d like to know:
    – is the screen better or at least as nice as my lovely Clie?
    – does the wifi/browser work properly (non-english fonts? images? javascript-required pages? 801.11g WPA, etc) or can it be upgraded?
    – do the current, more expensive, competitors have a decent PIM and all the functionality of the palms (I see new/like new TXs and Mylo2s on ebay for 150-250 and Sony TH55, n810s for 250-350.. can I get an older model and still be happy?)
I, like others I’m sure, really need a pda PIM and wifi, not a smartphone. So, can I slip a TX into my pocket, take notes, get my alarms, read my ebooks, listen to mp3s AND get wifi to surf the web and email…
or do I have to keep looking???
    Thanks!
    – jack

  42. Hi Julie,
I’d love to see you review a touchscreen device (such as the Gigabyte M912) with OSX installed.
I’ve just bought a Nokia n810 (still waiting for it to arrive) and I still have some questions about using it to run the Garnet VM Beta 3.
Finally, I fully expect that I’ll hear a review here about any new Palm devices that come out in 2009!!

  43. !!!! PICK ME !!!!

    Julie,

I’d like to see a review for an ebook reader like the Sony Librie EBR-1000EP. Thanks!!!!

    — Matt Duston

  44. i would like for you to review the htc touch diamond and the newest palm centro
i have the htc but the features are
too much for me to understand and
i want the centro but i dont know which one is better or easier

  45. I’d love to see you review the Samsung Omnia. I’m trying to decide between this and the Storm and would love to see a review, or even a side by side of the two.

  46. I would like to see a review of portable (small) bluetooth receiver that you can connect any headphone (or other devices) that you like to it. The ones I have seen uses larger units that need to be plugged in to outlets only, thus not quite portable.

  47. Jeffrey Izquierdo

Hi, Merry christmas! I have been dreaming of owning a centro. It would be nice if you could review the seidio hard hybrid case for the palm centro. It seems atleast from what I can see to be the perfect case/protection for the centro. Thank you.

  48. I would like to see a review/ comparison of the Bushnell GPS Backtrack Personal Locator 360050.

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  49. This contest is now closed (as are comments to the contest). The winner (chosen by random.org) is anthonymonti. I’ve sent him an email and he has 48hrs to respond back to claim his prize. 🙂
