I bought a Pogo stylus and found it to be less reliable and much slower than finger-typing. The sensitivity (at least on my first-gen iPod touch) was very low. The only way to get a fairly reliable response was to place my index finger on the back end for "leverage" and hold it between thumb and middle finger, and really push. The Pogo is short enough to make this possible, but it's not comfortable for extended typing nor is it very fast. I wonder if a finer and firmer point would work better?

There is a reason man started using stick to draw and then pens. Fingers are just not accurate enough. The only thing worst is a mouse, ergo the Wacom tablets. I would love to see a pressure sensitive pen input for the iPhone. Keep the finger thing but add pen support for drawing and handwriting recognition. Why Apple never made a small "ArtPad" is beyond me.
