When the garage door is opened and the lights turn on, it's kind of hard to see the beam (especially on a black interior car). Thinking about putting some white (or teflon) tape on the dashboard. We use the AC adapters so battery life isn't an issue. Mounting and aiming required a little trial and error, but not too bad. The biggest issue for us is that when the sun is very bright the laser can be hard to spot.
