I'm not sure if you get such a beast in the States, but over here, we congragate at the local Pub, usually one evening during the working week, have a few pints and teams of 4 answer trivia questions set by a sadisitic quiz master. Although supposedly a bit of fun, these can be taken very seriously. A key part of the whole affair is to think of an amusing team name. e.g. DENSA, Arson Fire, The quizzicals.
