I have to express my appreciation for your kindness for those individuals that should have help on that study. Your special dedication to getting the solution all through appeared to be extremely powerful and have made employees much like me to reach their desired goals. Your personal warm and helpful advice indicates a whole lot a person like me and somewhat more to my office colleagues. Thank you; from each one of us.

Gloved accessibility would certainly be an issue.

Do we like the idea of paramedics and EMTs being able to search and find accurate information to do their jobs better?

Or do we feel uncomfortable with paramedics and EMTs that need to look things up because they aren't sure what to do?...

Wireless Andy- Glascow... I think that was in there- but I had to clear the program out to make room for other things to review.

I DID do a small 'face to face' with a cohort with a flip chart. He hit many things faster, but I had a LOT more stuff available. Of course, I forgot to put that in the review. Sigh.

Fragility and 'gloved accessibility' are certainly issues, but it seems unfair bringing real issues into my 'Palms Rule' fantasy world!

This is geared towards EMS or medical personnel; however, I do find use in it...I am also curious what you may recommend as a medical guide, prescription guide (with drug information/interactions) or condition guide to end users? Is there any great software out there that might have crossed you?

Thanks!

Mark, thanks for the review!

I prefer my little pocket flip chart/EMS Field Guide thingy for reference stuff. No batteries, excellent legibility, and if it gets soiled, no big deal. And, cheap cheap cheap! Still got mine.

BUT, I dig the idea of being able to calculate things. Can't do that with a paper flip book!

Like, APGAR (if I ever need to delve into an emergency childbirth.) Neat! I wonder if it'll do other "scoring" assessments, like the Glasgow Coma Scale? Now there's one I can never remember off the top of my head with a memory aid.

In the end though, as gadget-nuts as I am, I'd probably prefer to keep my battery-operated gizmos at home if I'm in the back of the bus. I'm too overprotective of shiny toys! Reason I haven't owned a PalmOS device in years. I was always afraid of breaking them.

Unless... gimme a ruggedized cootie-proof PalmOS rig, operable with gloves... Hm...

I'm sure some EMS operators have these "scoring" tools (like for GCS) built into their electronic PCR tablets by now. I had to learn on the paper-and-clipboard PCR. "Write firmly, you're making three copies..." ;)
