I personally love the Tom Bihn ID messenger bag, it has lots of room and numerous pockets, both zippered and non-zippered… and I have three of the organizer pouches as well, they come in very handy to use with the bag and not..

I’d post my review link here, but I don’t want to seem like a spammer…

but anyway, I found that the ID Messenger bag has tons of room in it, I also have a Spire Zoom backpack which is larger than the ID but just doesn’t have the space that the ID has in it…

Check out the ID though if you are looking for something with lots of space and many pockets for things

the aeronaut doesnt seem to have the organizational pockets I need. I uses tons of pouches but I also want inner and outer pockets. superego has more pockets than aeronaut right?

Hi, Roman:

The Super Ego isn’t designed to be the “ultimate” carry-on you describe, but it can be used as such. It’s large enough for me to have used it as such on short, casual trips where I didn’t need to bring a change of shoes. If you have reasonably sized feet not requiring the size 12 boats I wear you might be able to use the Super Ego for travel purposes more generally.

You might want to take a peek at Tom Bihn’s The Aeronaut model. I don’t own one yet, but it’s on my “to buy” list as it appears to be the “ultimate carry-on.” It was reviewed on The Gadgeteer about a year ago:

Can you be a bit more clear on what kind of space we have to play with in addition to a notebook with the superego? Im looking for an “ultimate” carry-on bag. I want a balance of tech space/pockets and space for a pair of shoes, jeans, couple of shirts. Can the superego do this?
