Heh, the Sony 970 is a great bluetooth earphone for listening to "wireless" music.

It uses bluetooth to sort of stream music over from your phone to your earpiece just like the ETY8

As far as I am concerned... as soon as I leave da home in my car, da bluetooth headset definitely stays on me air. Whether it be shopping or just casual hang out. Yes going to somebody's place or gym or office, that is when I do take it off, but it does tend to stay normally !

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I wished more headsets could be connected to more than one phone (or other Bt device) at the same time, like the Plantronics Discovery 640. I love the MultiPoint function on the headset, because during the week, I carry my own phone (Treo 700p) and my work phone (Motorola i870).

A couple days out of the week, I need to visit a few different sites in the area for work. I'm usually at those sites for about 30 minutes, each, so I don't bother taking off my headset.

Also, if there's a conference call that I need to dial into, I usually take it with my headset. That way I can type, take notes, or just surf the web while on the call.

I find it a little odd that when I go visit my local Walmart that I will see soccer Mom's and Dad's running around the store wearing Bluetooth headsets. But then me, the supposed queen of gadgets, is too shy to wear one in public like that. ;o)

my motorola H700 is car-only...but my Oakley O-ROKR is my everywhere device.

BTW...im looking forward to your jawbone review, because of its touted superior noise-supression technology.

I dont think any of us gadgeteers/geeks have a life...thats why feel the need to be occupied by gadgets and toys so we don't go postal/nuts and start shooting everyone, hahahahha.

I usually take off the bluetooth headset upon exiting my car. However, I do put it on when I need my hand for something.

My place is in a poor reception area so it makes most sense to leave my Treo 680 in one place and use a bluetooth headset. I tried this using my Sony Ericsson HBH-610A and it worked out well for a while. The headset then started dropping calls and I abandoned it. Now the Palm Treo cable is always within reach till I find a solid BT headset.

I greatly look forward to your reviews - and whether or not the Etymotic one is worth the expense. All the best Julie!
