Hello lorr29,

Am facing the same problem from time to time, I am even missing some calls. Sometimes for an incoming call the I320 stays in sleep while the soft keys are only blinking, you cannot answer or reject a call and it's not saved in the call history so there's no way to find out who was calling.
Have you found the solution to that problem? the Samsung service center told me I had the latest software version and asked to hard reset the device and that did not solve the problem.

That was a superb review! excelent job

I'm just wondering if it is possible to install a gps software alike tomtom or similar and use it with a bluetooth gps. I've been surfing quite a lot but I don't find anywhere even at the software vendors websites that ensures their software will work on it

thx

Great review! I was puzzled by the fact that you were reviewing the i320 as well. At first, I thought "Well, maybe the Gadgeteers are actually in the UK!" as the i320 was designed as a tri-band EU phone with 900 / 1800 / 1900 support (<a href="http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=896)">http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=896)</a>. So if the GSM radio was really straining to find some sort of signal somewhere to use ... that might be a large part of what caused the poor battery life.

Same thing happens with my T-Mobile Dash. If I use it at my home outside Washington, DC ... I consistently get about 2 days between charges. If I take it to my parents home in middle-of-nowhere upstate New York ... I get through only 1 day and the battery is just about gone at the end.

I think you'd want the SGH-i607, which is the US version if I'm not mistaken. Or, yup -- just go for the Cingular-branded Blackjack. Then you can try out all the HSDPA goodness out in the Denver area.

Great review though! Keep 'em comin'!

Kerry / Julie -

Nice review. I had a chance to use the i320n a while back (review on our site) ... and really loved the phone. The big difference between the i320 and the i320n was the keyboard buttons were different, but the device was nearly identical otherwise.

As for availablility - You can pick the i320n up from Dynamism unlocked for less than $499 or just grab the BlackJack from Cingular (which is out now).

<a href="http://www.dynamism.com/i320/main.shtml">http://www.dynamism.com/i320/main.shtml</a>

Honestly the most impressive thing is that you were able to use the phone. Denver has no 900Mhz bad that I was able to use with it - otherwise I would have ended up buying it right then and there!
