That is plain ugly being able to see the speaker bolts. Plus the speaker cones will get dusty and throw the sound off. Gives everything a more mellow sound. It's not something I look for in a speaker system. More of a Hi-Fi guy myself. Still, a blue glowing phalic symbol on top kinda appeals to me. :D If you are serious about your audio habit can do 'opamp rolling' as well. You've just got to be better with a soldering iron.
