check out the Flash Synchronizer module from Gadget
Brando. It’s a small clear plastic thingy with a hotshoe on one side and a
standard sized threaded tripod attachment point on the other.
You attach this module to your external flash and then when you take a picture using the flash on your camera, it will automatically cause the flash with this module to fire too. It doesn’t require batteries, which is a plus. The only problem that I ran into, was that it didn’t work with my Nikon SP600 Speedlight. I guess my flash is just too fancy for it… It worked great with a generic flash though.
