I just ordered a large Obsidian Black. I will let you know what I think when I get it :).

(It's so exciting to get a new laptop bag. Especially when you see all the charities that they help!!!).

Thanks for your great review, which led me some months back to purchase this very same model. Considered timbuk2, chrome, crumpler, reload messenger bags but since I haul around lots of stuff, walk/run quite a bit catching subways & buses & have a very small frame, the over the shoulder messenger option just didn't work for me. I also don't like the backpack option since it makes me feel like a student. The bumbakpak is just perfect. Like a messenger bag, you can stow a lot of stuff in it and I like all the compartments for various gadgets like my ipod, cell, water bottle, umbrella, etc. I use it almost daily to carry heavy textbooks, my powerbook, files, papers, food & drink, vhs/dvds. On weekends, I use it to carry groceries & shopping items, including wine bottles & bags of fruit. It can really expand quite a bit! & best of all I can carry all this stuff without a sore back for many city blocks. My only complaint is that this bag isn't suitable for bike riding since it hangs too low. But this is really negligible considering how comfortable it is. I am crazy about my bumbakpak & think it's the best thing since mango guava jelly!http://forums.the-gadgeteer.com/vbbs/images/smilies/love.gif
