I have another Maxpedition bag -- the Thermite -- which is a bit smaller and lacks some of the features on the Fatboy. I'd been thinking about upgrading but I wasn't sure what the differences would really be. I got a near-hands-on experience reading this very thorough article, and I'm confident I can go for the Fatboy and be happy with it. Though I'd have to go for embroidered knotwork myself. The men were all razzing him about carrying a man purse. But the whole time I am setting there thinking I like that for me (female) but I have to figure out like you how to feminize this bag. I have a few ideas myself. email back and I will let you know how it turned out. (Oh after checking some of the leather bags I could have bought a COUCH for some of their prices.)
